Nowadays, the demand for high-quality wooden and wood-aluminum windows and doors is growing. This new scenario requires manufacturers to adopt processes where the integration between CAD/CAM software and CNC technology is crucial.

In this context, PowerWIN, our dedicated solution for the window and door industry, proves to be a technologically advanced tool capable of optimizing every stage of the production cycle while maintaining high quality standards.

Read on to learn how the installation on Biesse WinLine was carried out at Serramenti Fratelli Bergamaschi, an Italian company specialized in the production of windows, doors, and sliding systems.

Serramenti Fratelli Bergamaschi Production

For over 60 years, Serramenti Fratelli Bergamaschi has been manufacturing wooden and wood-aluminum windows and doors. Its in-house workshop processes certified raw timber to create fully customizable solutions, both in finishes and opening configurations.

Among the company’s flagship products are:

  • Casement windows
  • Lift-and-slide window solutions, available in wood and wood-aluminum
  • Custom wooden sashes, interior and exterior shutters

Choose PowerWIN for your wood-wood and wood aluminum window and door production.

Here Is How the PowerWIN Installation Was Carried Out on the Biesse WinLine CNC Machine

Our specialized technician, Marco Rota, visited Serramenti Fratelli Bergamaschi to test the integration between PowerWIN CAD/CAM and the Biesse Winline machining center.

The Biesse CNC machine features two 4-axis motors and was designed to ensure maximum productivity within a compact footprint. With a single system, it is possible to manufacture standard and custom wood-wood and wood aluminum windows and doors, meeting all market demands.

Biesse WinLine is a multi-center machining solution with a gantry structure and dual drive system for greater operational precision. In addition, thanks to the different loading table configurations (standard, double, or multilevel), the operator can load parts and leave the machine running unattended for further productivity gains.

These features proved essential during the installation testing phase, where several lift-and-slide window systems were produced using Maco hardware and Leitz tools:

  • Wooden version, 68 mm thickness
  • Wooden version, 92 mm thickness
  • Wood-aluminum version, 68 mm thickness

PowerWIN for Your Window and Door Production: All the Advantages

The installation at Serramenti Fratelli Bergamaschi highlighted four operational advantages of our PowerWIN software.

  • Production cycles can be easily configured for every profile type, starting from the creation of a new model with custom parameters or by importing a drawing from one of the supported file formats.
  • Our CAD/CAM software is capable of managing the machining of wood, solid wood, and wood-aluminum windows and doors with customized Maco hardware and sets including Leitz tools.
  • PowerWIN connects with MacoWIN, AGB4K software products, and pool files from leading manufacturers to generate the hardware bill of materials, complete with item codes and prices for the designed window or door, eliminating manual item entry.
  • Thanks to PowerWIN production phases, it is possible to configure labor/machine/other cost centers; define a production cycle as a sequence of phases; identify each stage of the manufacturing cycle of a window or door; and define the operations within each phase in order to estimate timing and costs for every step of the production process.
