General features
Thanks to 3D interactive graphics, with PowerWIN it is possible to configure all the parameters of the elements by a simple click: frame, openings, overlapped parts, sections, stiles, rails, baseboards, window/door stops, glasses, flat panels, engraved panels, louvers, matchboards, junctions, dowels, raw pieces, hardware, etc. After selecting the shape and the configuration to use during the design stage, you just have to enter the dimensions of the frame to define completely the window, the shutter or the door.
All the projects are parametric, so if you enter new dimensions, PowerWIN calculates automatically the position of every element (hardware included).
With PowerWIN you can capture and save window/door images in BMP, JPG, TIFF and TAG format. This allows to send emails with the project view, to put pictures on a website in order to show products to the customer.
PowerWIN allows you to export the DXF file of any element of the window/door. This is the easiest way to give your glass-cutter the glass geometry (instead of giving a template).
Windows and Doors
With PowerWIN it is easy to design windows with rectangular, trapezoidal and triangular shape; gothic arches, round arches, portholes, tilting windows, over-lights, point by point (or taken by a template). It is also possible to draw the frame geometry using PowerWIN’s CAD module or to import it from a DXF file.
PowerWIN designs also standard and particular shape projects “side by side” such as verandas, partitions etc.
The user can enter the following parameters for each sash:
- dimensions and overlaps of each element;
- junction type;
- opening type (heading, receiving, fixed, sliding, tilting, etc.);
- opening side.
PowerWIN manages complex windows/doors and T-Node module and satisfies the Customer's needs to have different profiles on the same piece (stiles and rails) for example a receiving sash and a fixed sash.
With PowerWIN it is possible to manage projects with different profiles and counter-profiles on sides and which are worked by different tools.
PowerWIN manages wood/alu windows and doors.
Segments
Arches are automatically split-up in segments by PowerWIN. The user can enter the number of segments and the software automatically calculates the section. If the user enters the section, the software calculates the minimum number of segments to split-up the arch.
PowerWIN allows also to align sashes and architrave cuts with the casement ones and to customize the dimensions of every segment (including stock material on each side).
Printouts
With PowerWIN you can print the complete project view with cutting, control and assembling lists, the cutting list of every piece of the window/door (arc segments included) and glasses and panels lists with dimensions and geometry.
With PowerWIN you can also generate the NC codes to machine more windows/doors at the same time as a “batch”.
WinCAM
WinCAM is a special option of PowerWIN which allows the machinings for windows and doors manufacturing, including hardware and dowels. In order to optimize the production, WinCAM manages pieces arrangement on the machine: quantity, origins, position, rebate thickness, clamps, vacuums, overlaps.
PoweWIN, linked to DDX software EasyWOOD, automatically generates the part programs for windows and doors and displays machining 3D simulation with 3D model of the machining centre, of tables, tools, underpieces and pieces. Besides simulation PowerWIN with EasyWOOD has a special module to control every possible collision of the machine with pieces, underpieces and tools.
